Where the Money Goes: A Legacy of Impact
$1.9 Million. And Counting

Thanks to the unwavering generosity of our sponsors and participants, the Burn Aid Foundation has reached a remarkable milestone: contributing over $1.9 million to the Regions Hospital Burn Center.
But in our line of work, we don’t measure success in dollars.
We measure it in lives reclaimed.
When you support the Burn Aid Foundation, you aren't just buying a foursome or sponsoring a tee box. You are funding the critical gap between "surviving" a burn and truly "living" after one. Here is exactly where your contributions go.

The Technology of Healing

A portion of our funding ensures that the expert team at Regions Hospital—the most comprehensive burn center in the Upper Midwest—has access to tools that go beyond standard hospital budgets.
-
Laser Scar Therapy: We help fund advanced laser treatments that soften thick scar tissue, improving flexibility and range of motion for survivors who might otherwise struggle to move their limbs freely.
-
The "Regions" Mask: Did you know the transparent facial orthosis (a clear mask that manages facial scarring while allowing the person’s face to be seen) was invented right here at Regions? Your support fuels this kind of continuous innovation.

The Safe Havens (Camp Programs)

This is the heartbeat of our mission. Physical wounds heal, but the emotional scars of a burn injury can last a lifetime. To combat isolation, we fund full scholarships for survivors to attend specialized camps where they can feel normal, safe, and understood.
-
North Woods Healing (Ely, MN): We send families to the Minnesota Family Burn Camp at the YMCA Camp du Nord in Ely. This isn't just for the patient; it's for the whole family. It allows parents and siblings to disconnect from the stress of medical appointments and reconnect with each other in the peace of the Boundary Waters.
-
Mountain Adventure (Estes Park, CO): We also sponsor young survivors to attend the Cheley Children's Hospital Burn Camp in the Colorado Rockies. Here, kids get to push their limits—hiking, horseback riding, and climbing—proving to themselves that their injury doesn't define their potential.
-
Winter Rehabilitation (Steamboat Springs, CO): For older teens, we support attendance at the Winter Burn Camp, where they learn to ski and snowboard, building confidence and independence on the slopes.

The Return to Normalcy

Going back to the "real world" is one of the hardest steps for a survivor.
-
School Re-Entry: We fund programs where burn experts visit a child’s classroom before they return to school. They explain the injury to classmates, answer questions, and stop bullying before it starts, turning a room full of staring strangers into a support system.
-
Image Enhancement: We support programs that help survivors manage changes in their appearance, offering resources and counseling to help them face the world with their heads held high.
