2022 Burn Camp Success: Burn Aid Foundation Funds in Action at Camp Cheley

Sep 1, 2021

Thanks to the continued support of our sponsors and participants, the Burn Aid Foundation was proud to fund another transformative experience at the 2022 Burn Camp at Camp Cheley. Your donations were hard at work, creating lasting memories for young survivors.

2022 CAMP RECAP — The mission of the Burn Aid Foundation is to provide support that goes beyond the hospital walls, and there is no better example of that mission in action than our support for burn survivor camps.

In 2022, your generous contributions helped fund a group of young burn survivors' attendance at the Cheley Children's Hospital Burn Camp in the beautiful Colorado Rockies.

As you can see from the photos, it was a week filled with adventure, connection, and just plain fun. From hiking through stunning mountain landscapes and bonding by the lake to group activities and sharing smiles (and sometimes shaving cream!), the campers were able to be themselves in a safe and supportive environment.

A Safe Haven for Healing

These camps are a cornerstone of the support network for young survivors. They provide a unique opportunity to step away from the daily challenges of life with a burn injury and connect with peers who truly understand their journey. The confidence and friendships built during this week can last a lifetime.

Thank You for Your Support

This incredible experience would not have been possible without you. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every sponsor and participant who contributed to the Burn Aid Foundation in 2022. Your continued support is what makes these moments of healing and joy a reality.

Thank you for helping us make a difference!

About

Since 1997, a group of volunteers from the MN Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association has been working hand-in-hand with the MN State Fire Marshal’s office and Regions Hospital to host a golf event to raise money to benefit the Regions Hospital Burn Center.

In 2018, the Burn Aid Foundation officially became a 501(c)(3) charity and we continue to operate solely as volunteers from these same three great organizations.

Mission

Our mission is to assist those whose lives have been impacted by fire.
