Sending Hope: Burn Aid Foundation Funds 23 Camp Experiences in 2024

Oct 1, 2024

Thanks to your support in 2024, the Burn Aid Foundation helped 8 families attend the Minnesota Family Burn Camp in Ely and sent 15 survivors to the Cheley Camp in Colorado. Your generosity makes these transformative healing experiences possible!

2024 IMPACT UPDATE — The mission of the Burn Aid Foundation goes beyond raising funds; it is about funding hope. We are thrilled to share the tangible outcomes of the generous support we received during our 2024 fundraising efforts.

Because of the incredible commitment of our sponsors, donors, and participants, the Burn Aid Foundation was able to provide critical funding to send survivors and their support systems to specialized therapeutic camps this year.

We are proud to announce that 2024 funds helped send:

  • 8 Families to the Minnesota Family Burn Camp in Ely, MN.

  • 15 Burn Survivors to the Cheley Children's Hospital Burn Camp in Estes Park, CO.

More Than Just a Camp

These programs are far more than just summer getaways. For survivors navigating life after a significant burn injury, these camps offer a crucial safe haven.

In the peace of the Minnesota North Woods or the majesty of the Colorado Rockies, attendees find an environment where scars are normal and stories don't need to be explained. They are places where healing happens through connection, adventure, and shared experience. For many participants, attending camp is a pivotal moment in regaining confidence and finding a community that truly understands their journey.

Your Generosity in Action

None of this would be possible without you. Every sponsor who supported the 2024 Golf Classic, and every individual who donated, directly contributed to these 23 life-changing experiences.

Thank you for helping these families and survivors realize they are not alone. Your generosity makes this possible!

About

Since 1997, a group of volunteers from the MN Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association has been working hand-in-hand with the MN State Fire Marshal’s office and Regions Hospital to host a golf event to raise money to benefit the Regions Hospital Burn Center.

In 2018, the Burn Aid Foundation officially became a 501(c)(3) charity and we continue to operate solely as volunteers from these same three great organizations.

Mission

Our mission is to assist those whose lives have been impacted by fire.
