Your unprecedented support pushed our annual donation to an all-time record $75,000! Your generosity has helped burn survivors heal from their injuries, allowed the Burn Center to support them and even helped train the next generation of burn specialists. Thank you all for your continued participation!
ST. PAUL, MN – September 11, 2023 — The partnership between the fire safety industry and the medical community was on full display this September as the Burn Aid Foundation presented its annual contribution to the Regions Hospital Burn Center.
Representatives from the Foundation joined the Burn Center’s dedicated nursing and medical staff to unveil the results of the 2023 fundraising season: a donation of $75,000.
The funds were raised primarily through the Foundation’s annual Golf Classic, an event that brings together fire sprinkler contractors, fire marshals, and community partners with a singular goal: driving change for burn survivors.
A Critical Impact
"Every dollar raised on the golf course translates directly into care for our patients," said a representative for the Foundation during the presentation. "Whether it is funding a scholarship for a child to attend burn camp or purchasing a piece of equipment that isn't in the standard budget, this $75,000 is going to change lives."
The 2023 donation was earmarked to support the Burn Center’s holistic approach to recovery, including:
Survivor Support: Funding for the "Continuum of Care," ensuring patients have access to psychosocial support long after their physical wounds have healed.
Camp Scholarships: Sending young survivors to specialized burn camps in Colorado and Northern Minnesota, offering them a safe environment to build confidence and community.
Staff Education: helping the world-class team at Regions stay at the forefront of burn care technology and techniques.
A Growing Legacy
This contribution marked another successful chapter in the Foundation's history. Since its inception in 1997, the group has remained a steadfast ally of the Burn Center, growing from a small group of volunteers into a 501(c)(3) powerhouse for philanthropy in the fire safety sector.
As the group gathered for photos in front of the iconic "The Burn Center" wall, the smiles shared between the donors and the medical staff highlighted a bond that goes beyond financial support—a shared commitment to healing and hope.
